Biography:
Shane Tuohy received a BE in Electronic and Computer Engineering (First Class Honours) in
2010 from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He commenced his PhD research with the Connaught Automotive
Research Group in NUI Galway in October 2010. Shane is researching next generation in-car communication networks centered around Ethernet implementations. This work is funded jointly by
IRCSET and
Valeo through an Enterprise Partnership Scheme.
As an undergraduate he won the 2010 Avaya prize for best project in Electronic and Computer Engineering.
Research Interests:
Image processing, network simulation, driver assist systems, OpenCV.
